Onion Gravy- perfect for Sausages and Mash
Ingredients:
2 Red Onion finely sliced
2 Garlic Cloves crushed
2 Thyme Sprigs
1 tbsp Plain Flour
1 glass Red Wine
400ml Chicken Stock
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
Salt & Pepper
Juices and fat from cooked Cullen's Sausages
To Cook:
Cook some Cullens Sausages in a pan.
Remove the cooked sausages and put on a heated plate and cover to keep warm.
In the pan you cooked the sausages in,add the sliced onions and cook
-scraping up all the lovely pan juices.
Add the garlic and thyme and cook until the onions are soft.
Stir in the flour and then add the red wine, let it reduce by half.
Add the stock stirring until you have a nice gravy.
Check the seasoning.
Add the Balsamic Vinegar.
Serve with Cullen's Sausages and Mash.
